St. Cecelia’s Women’s Club Workshop: Cocktails and Ice Cream Recipes

We learned to make herb-infused cocktails and ice cream!

We loved hosting over 40 beautiful women from St. Cecelia’s Women Club in the garden! We started with a tour of the garden and had a Q&A about growing year-round in Houston. The ladies had such great questions!

The ladies scooped up their copies of Monarch’s 2024 Planting Calendar. Monday-Friday you can find our team taking care of raised bed vegetable gardens all over Houston. We guarantee our clients’ we will keep their gardens gorgeous and productive all year long and they can eat from their garden every single week! When you make a promise like that, you get pretty good at knowing exactly when to plant each vegetable, herb, and flower! This calendar contains the schedule we use to keep our clients’ gardens productive every week and for the first time, we’re releasing this information to the public! You’ll know exactly when to plant every vegetable, herb, and flower we plant in raised beds, when to stop planting each plant, and when to remove them! You’ll also learn what to harvest each month and get monthly tips and tasks to keep your garden (and landscaping) healthy! There’s also daily entries so you can jot down what you’re planting in your garden and a super helpful glossary in the back for quick reference! You’ll love this calendar. No other resource like it exists in our area. If you are a gardener or have a gardener in your life who lives in Zone 9 - you need this calendar!

First we made two herb-infused craft cocktails. This Rosemary Ginger Margarita is delicious!

Next up was this Lemon Lavender Thyme Spritz. It’s crisp and perfect for spring!

Is there anything better than herb-infused craft cocktails? Yes! Herb-infused ice creams!

First we made Strawberry Basil Ice Cream.

Then we whipped up this Rosemary Peach Ice Cream. Delicious!

Besides the garden-fresh herbs, the secret weapon for these herbal ice creams is the Ninja Creami. Friends, I’m a low-tech, anti-kitchen-gadget-kinda-gal, and yet this Ninja Creami has my whole heart. It’s by far the easiest way to make ice cream that’s not only delicious - it has the perfect texture. True story: my kids started using the Ninja Creami long before I did to make protein smoothies, smoothie bowls, milkshakes, and 100% fruit sorbets. When I started testing herb-infused ice cream recipes, I lugged out my giant ice-cream maker and my kids were like, “Mom - why are you using that? Try the Ninja Creami - it’s so much better.” I almost blew them off. I’m glad I didn’t! Turns out, those little twerps were right! One batch, and I was sold!

Spoiler Alert: I’m releasing an Herb-Infused Craft Cocktail and an Herb-Infused Ice Cream E-book late Spring/Early Summer. They are packed with delicious garden-to-table cocktails and ice creams! Best part about the ice cream (besides the fresh herbs) is you can use sugar and coconut milk instead of sugar and heavy cream - so these ice creams work for everyone!

For now, you can download four of these recipes for FREE! The download is beautiful and has recipes for the Rosemary Ginger Margarita, Lemon Lavender Thyme Spritz, Strawberry Basil Ice Cream, and Rosemary Peach Ice Cream! Download below!
