Bolting Dill

If you let your dill bolt, not only does it make the coolest flowers and makes the bees happy, eventually it will create dill seeds!

Dill seeds are delicious in so many dishes, dips, and salads!

You can also save your dill seeds to plant in the fall or spring.

Dill is one of the few herbs that can easily be grown from seed in Houston. You can literally just toss it right into the garden, and it will grow!

If you live in our area, dill is almost ready to say goodbye for the season. You’ll notice it starts to bolt (shoots off yellow flowers) and the foliage turns a dull green or even gray!
