Cedar Gardens

Perks: cedar gardens are beautiful and less expensive than other materials we use to create gardens. We offer pre-fabricated kits with thinner cedar boards.  The kits are less expensive and perfect for beginner gardeners who aren’t ready to commit to a permanent garden.  We also offer custom-designed cedar boxes that are more sturdy and substantial.  Cedar is durable and forgiving. Small scratches do not show up, and minor dings are easily repaired. 

Downsides: it wears out over time (much like a wooden fence) and takes up more space than our steel options.

Cedar kits last about 3 years.  Our custom cedar garden beds last about 7 years. Cedar boards are also much thicker than steel, for example, so you get less soil and growing space in a cedar box compared to a steel box.
